The Cinco Ranch community’s annual Fall Festival will be held on Sunday, October 24th from 1 – 4 p.m. at Villagio in Cinco Ranch. There will be lots of fun for everyone at the festival! Planned events include our traditional entertainment including a petting zoo…complete with pony rides and camel rides! There will also be a juggler, balloon artist, and a reptile show. Of course, there will be a fun zone with games and inflatables, including the new for 2010 First Airborne Adventure which will take you up 20 feet high using a parachute to a look-out for a bird’s eye view of the festival site!

CINCO CHARITIES CHILI COOKOFF!
In addition to all of the activities, residents will also have the opportunity to submit their favorite chili recipe in the Cinco Charities Chili Cook-off. For a suggested donation of a $10 entry fee, local Villagio chefs will be judging for bragging rights and prizes for 1st Place Awards in both the Traditional and Non-traditional categories. Plus , all entries will be included in door prize drawings for prizes so all cooks have a chance to enter and win! Just bring a quart of your best kept secret for the judges to taste. If you are able to, please bring your chili in a crock pot to keep it warm prior to judging at 2 pm. Check in at the Cinco Charities tent between 1:00 and 1:45 pm to submit your entry. To be awarded for 1st Place Traditional, one super tasting chili cook will win an IPad, just in time to keep track of all things Cinco Ranch on our soon to be released new and improved website! Of course everyone will want to stay in the know because there is always something great happening in our community!

BBQ, DRINKS, COFFEE, AND FUNNEL CAKES!
Our Boy Scout Troop 557 will be on hand with a food and drink sales and Kosmos will be bringing hot cocoa and coffee. This month, Kosmos’ local charity is the Krause Center… and I know they will want to thank you for changing the world one cup at a time! We will also be serving funnel cakes, available while supplies last for a donations of any amount, benefiting Cinco Charities.

Making a repeat appearance for the Fall Festival will be Tom the Turkey Dash Turkey! Be sure to say hello to Tom and stop him for a great family photo. Also, ask Tom for directions to the YMCA Table where you can find out how to join him at the upcoming annual YMCA Turkey Dash on Thanksgiving morning. There will be a chip timed 5K, a family a event and a kids fun run with festivities to follow the race right here at the YMCA in Cinco Ranch! Early sign-ups are still available on line or at the YMCA.

With so much to see and do, no worries, you won’t miss anything because our DJ will be making announcements as well as making music!
